The feeling of awe that you may experience is accompanied by the ‘manufacture ‘ of chemicals within your body. Those chemicals have medicinal properties. That means, folks, it is good medicine for your mind, body and spirit.
Try to sustain the feeling of awe. You may be able to do so by viewing the image presented for a minute or two. During the course of your day, you may be able to bring the feeling back by visualizing the image in your mind’s eye. Note the cognitive piece of your experience (your thoughts). Are you marveling at the wonder of our universe? Good.

Diane has been a practicing psychotherapist for over thirty years. She is credentialed to teach college level psychology, social science and anthropology. She has taught at California Community Colleges and Universities. She studied psychoanalytic theory and practice in the School of Criminology at the University of California at Berkeley where she earned her doctorate degree.
